September 24th, 2014 Backwards Jam

It is a lovely tradition, initially instigated by Gérard Bélec, that September is the month where the Ottawa Comic Jam group writes backwards stories. The idea is that the first artist (or writer) starts the comic page on the last panel (panel 6) which is the End. The next artist has to do the panel that comes before until a complete story is created.

Although these comics can be read in the normal way, if you're aware that they were created backwards, it's just as fun reading them from the last panel as well. The absurdities always make me laugh and continue to make our September Jam one of our more popular gatherings!

Thanks to those who shared their creativity during this jam: Sue Marsden, Andrew Stutt, Sophie Nicholas, Liz Walsh, Gisele Jobateh, James Rule, Scott MacLellan, Darren Sparling, Gérard Bélec, Dominique Barbeau, Beccy David and Clayton Jacobs.

And always, thanks to the Don Kwan and the rest of the supportive staff at the Shanghai Restaurant, where the Comic Jam makes its monthly appearance. We're eternally grateful for your care, humour, quirkiness and creativity!
