April 29th, 2015 Spring Jam

Due to a nasty illness, I was unable to lead April's jam and had to rely on the wonderful and supportive artist Liz Walsh to step in, which she did admirably. Thanks!!!

Thank you to the Jammers who came out to write and draw and celebrate Spring (seems like a long time ago from here :-) Liz Walsh, Gisele Jobateh, Scott MacLellan, Andrew Stutt, Sophie Nicholas Amy VanTorre, Gérard Bélec, Ifer Lawrence, Dominique Barbeau, Nathan Clowater & Tim Moerman.

Cheers!
Suzanne

March 25th, 2015 Jam - forthcoming

Currently this is a placeholder for upcoming scans. Check back regularly as I will be uploading a number of jams over the next coming week or so. Thanks so much for your patience while I work on the backlog!

Cheers,
Suzanne.

February 25th, 2015 Deep Frieze Art Show JAM

Last February the Ottawa Comic Jam held its first group art show at the Shanghai Restaurant. It was a magical night with artwork on the walls, a thick pair of binders showcasing some of the Jam's best work and plenty of laughs and drawing. The show ran from Feb 20th, through March and April and was a great way to spread the word about the Jam and the multi-talented folks who produce unique expressions of their creativity.

Thanks to the artists and writers who joined us for the event: Suzanne Marsden, Chris & Gabrielle Barbeau, Clayton Jacobs, Gisele Jobateh, Amy VanTorre ('Deep Frieze' poster artist & designer!), Tim Moerman, Liz Walsh, James Rule, Suze Shore, Andrew Stutt, Gérard Bélec & Pat Patenaude.

Thanks to Don Kwan for helping organize the show and hang the artwork as well as for all the tips and encouragement as we unveiled the pieces. Very much appreciated!

Cheers,
Suzanne.

January 28th, 2015 'BABIES' Jam

Way back in January, we got together and launched the New Year by drawing BABIES (or other tiny, tiny critters!) It was a ball. Weird stuff came out...

Thanks to everyone who took the time to brave the wintery weather to join us in cooperative writing, drawing and laughs: Suzanne Marsden, Clayton Jacobs, Karen Munro Caple, Amy VanTorre, Scott MacLellan, Andrew Stutt, Gisele Jobateh, Susan Shore, Marc Christie, Liz Walsh, Tim Moerman, Lindsey Krassin, Jessica Rousseau, James Rule, Gérard Bélec, Dwight Williams and JFC.

Thanks as always to the staff and friends at the Shanghai Restaurant who continue to welcome us and make us feel like we're family, while keeping us fed, supplied with drinks and encouragement!

Cheers
Suzanne.

A Christmas Corral November 26 2014

The November Jam is the last jam of the year and is usually Christmas or Holiday themed. Gérard suggested a 'Christmas Corral' and the mash-up of Western w/ Christmas tickled all our fancies.

Thanks to everyone who came out to the jam to join in the fun: Nathan Clouater, Lindsey Krassin, Tim Moerman, Sasha, Marc Christie, Gérard Bélec, Nuray Uysal, Suzanne Marsden, Clayton Jacobs, Amy VanTorre, Scott MacLellan, Suze Shore, Pat Patenaude, Andrew Stutt, Liz Walsh, James Rule and Sophie Nicholas.

Thanks as always to the Shanghai Restaurant, staff and Don Kwan, for making us feel welcome and supporting our creative ventures-- you guys rock!

Cheers
Suz.
