Chinatown Remixed 2013

Saturday May18th, 2013 was the launch of Chinatown Remixed's 5th Anniversary of an art and culture celebration that took place all along Somerset St W. in Ottawa, ON.  The Ottawa Comic Jam group was honoured to take part in the Remix with a free comic jam workshop hosted at My Sweet Tea.

Thanks to all the participants who took the time to come out and take part in the comic jam workshop, including lots of enthusiastic kids! Thanks also to the folks who came out to support the jam and pass the word along to interested artists. I apologize that my camera was acting extremely peculiar that day--we really are not aquamarine washed-out aliens in 'real life' n_n

#53 was the place to be with Sue Marsden
#47 exhibition of Tim J. Moerman's amazing collage!
Most artists who participated were anonymous, but some were from the Ottawa Comic Jam group: Suzanne Marsden, Clayton Jacobs, Suze Shore, Amy VanTorre, Tim Moerman and introducing Anna Paluch!

Finally, a special thanks to Donald Kwan of the Shanghai Restaurant, for organizing Chinatown Remixed and encouraging my application as a workshop coordinator. The after party was delightful and the Kichesippi beer was perfect on such a sweltering day!
