April 25th 2012 'mini con' comic jam

The 1st Ottawa Comic Con was coming...everyone was super excited, so the Ottawa Comic Jam decided to hold a pre-event 'mini-con' at the Shanghai Restaurant. Everyone brought work that they wanted to share, sell or have critiqued. It was an excellent opportunity to show what folks were working on and to get valuable feedback from a supportive and enthusiastic bunch of comic nuts.

Thanks as always to Donald Kwan and the staff at the Shanghai Restaurant for taking good care of the group, providing a supportive and safe environment for creativity and always having such great art on the walls to inspire us.

Thanks as well to all the jammers (new and old) who came out and made the 'mini-con' evening a tremendous success: Clayton Jacobs, Suzanne Marsden, Scott MacLellan, Gérard Bélec, Andrew Stutt, Amy VanTorre, Suze Shore, Liz Walsh, James Rule, Matt Erkhart, Anne Erkhart, Julia Tiller, Erin English, Meghan M., Jill Stothart and David Pike.

March 28th, 2012 Spring Fling

March 28th, 2012 was the Ottawa Comic Jam's 'Spring Fling' event! Thanks to everyone who took the time to join us for our drawing extravaganza. Thanks again to the Shanghai Restaurant and their supportive staff for taking good care of the group and giving us a creative venue in which to draw and write silly stories.

Thanks to the jammers for their creative energy and input that made the evening special: Suzanne Marsden, Clayton Jacobs, Scott MacLellan, James Rule, Liz Walsh, Amy VanTorre, Gerard Belec, Matt Erkhart, Anne Erkhart, Lubke Seid and Tim Moerman
